All right. Here's the story behind the little snowman on my Photos page. First of all, here's my little snowman. He's not very tall, and he's kind of fat, but I think he's a little darling.

Anyway, in the main library at U of R (Rush Rhees), there is this courtyard on the first floor in the 100's stacks. Anyway, you can see it up from the new stacks on the 2nd and 3rd floors. But there is no door to said courtyard. Well, over in the old stacks, there are ancient windows, that have two panes and a hinge between them to open them. There is also one window that is chained shut that has three panes. That window is the official enterance for maintenance people and stuff. WELL, turns out, a body can squeeze through one of the smaller windows. SOME body or bodies (2 to be exact), went out and made this cute little snowman there to sit happily and stare at the people who were working at the desks nearbye. I would really have NO idea who said bodies were. And certainly it didn't happen on a Sunday after breakfast at Danforth by two persons whose first names begin with E. No, of course not.

Anyway, it's small and blobby because it was too cold to have real packy snow, so it was kind of a pile that we made with two rocks for eyes and fallen leaves for hands, clutching his happy big belly.

And that is the story behind the cute little snowman.
