Ok, So I'm just blogging in to share with you a wonderful quick and diry recipe. Fake Scones

Get a box of Bisquick.
2 1/4 cups of Bisquick
3 Tbsps Sugar
2/3 cup Milk
3 Tbsps Butter (melted)
(if there's anything else in the shortbread recipe on the Bisquick box, add that too)
about a cup of fruit (blueberries, raisins, currants)

Preheat the oven to 425 (like is says on the Bisquick box)
Mix in everything but the fruit until it's a sticky gooey mess
then mix in the fruit/nuts, etc.
Glob them onto a cookie sheet/baking stone
Makes about 6-8
Bake for 8-11 minutes

Tada! You have yummy baked goods with little to no effort. I bet even Susie could make them. *nods vigorously* Ok, I'll go away now for real. But I just wanted to share my yumminess.

Another day, another blog. Hey! I scanned more Photos in. Do you want to see them? Didn't thing so. Here's the link anyway. Did I mention I finished the book Fellowship of the Rings? Well I did. And Boromir was still alive at the end! He was! Of coruse, the first few chapters of The Two Towers don't look too promising for our other human. I would have ridden my bike today, but it is threatening to storm out, and I do not want to be stuck out in the rain and thunder and lightning on my bike. You know, I love thunderstorms as much as the next person, but I would also prefer to be near someplace safe.

Ah well, I suppose I should make some dinner soon, 'cause I'm hungry.

Yeah, I was bad today. I didn't raise the seat of my bike. But I did have brunch with my parents and the people who lived across the street while I was growing up. It was nice to see them again and to catch up on old times and what's going on with them now. Yeah, so after that, we went grocery shopping, and the when we got finished with that and putting them away, it was like 4. So what do I do? What does any self-respecting person do on a weekend at 4. Yes, I Took a nap! It was a nice nap, even if was on the couch. I am also impatiently waiting for when The Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Ring) comes out on Starz. I say this because we have a free month of it, so it better damn well come out while we get it free! Damnit! They say it's coming. I wish I could believe them. Also, my happy 5 free rentals from renewing my cell phone plan have not arrived. How am I supposed to rent the DVD of FotR 5 times before November when it comes out with extra footage to tide me over? How? Oh well, Back to the daily grind tomorrow.

Deck the halls it's me again. My little gray kitten is going psycho and playful. Note, the photo is not of Little Gray (formally named Figaro Pain-in-the-Ass). The photo is of Frates (formally named Euphrates Mischeif). Yes, Frates is the one who always puts her but in my face when I'm typing on the computer. Regardless, I have entered a stretch of boredom this evening and so what do I do when I'm bored and at home? I blog of course. I went on a couple of short bike rides today. They were necessarily short as my seat was not high enough, and my knees could not unbend, and it was not pleasant when I was pedaling. Anyway, even after we raised the seat, it was too low to be comfortable, so I'll have to raise it again tomorrow. Otherwise, biking around was rather fun. I wore my adorable Mopsy hat and capri-length shorts/pants whatever they are. Someone should have taken a picture, I was so adorable. Of course that was in my own mind's eye. Someone else would probably have said "take a picture of that fat girl on a bike? no way!"

Well, what else? I went shopping and managed to restrain myself in the bookstore. Well, there were some things that interested me, but not enough to get in hard-cover. So I will wait patiently. I also went to C.J. Banks and got me some more things to wear on my bottom. Nice things for work. Bad things happen when I go in there, 'cause I always end up spending money, and I really shouldn' spend so much money on clothings all the time. I should just get my ass out on my bike and loose some weight so I fit back into the clothes I was wearing when I started working. Well, see above.

I was good though, I took a bike ride after lunch and then again after dinner, and got my heart rate up even though it was pretty short. That has to count for something, right? Right. *nods firmly*

In case you haven't noticed, I updated the layout of my site. I really like it 'cause it is all mine. I mean, who's gonna sue me? me? I wouldn't do thing like that to myself. Besides, I give myself permission to use the image I took with my camera, of my ball and my glove. Anyway, so I'm updating it with a non-dragon theme. I know, scary. Anyway, so I've got the cool sports thing going, so I think... Hey, I think I'll make a quiz So I do! I make a Sports Quiz. Find out which sport is yours! Umm... what else is going on? I had another few dreams recently, which were very vivid as usual. The one I had this morning, included, among other things, swimming to an amusement park, and then getting ice cream, and the owner-guy was hitting on me, but not really. He told me not to worry, that I was young and pretty or something like that. Then later on, while I was taking my 2 1/2 hour nap *cough* Kelly *cough* I had another odd dream wich involved a whole bunch of things including a kid driving my car, only I was operating the clutch and the shifter, and a very thin refrigerator... and cats and balloons and R2D2 made a cameo, and a summer camp on which myself and another person had to give a little spiel about skin-care in the sun, and things kept falling over... and the brakes wouldn't really work on my car sometimes, and oh, it was odd. Odd Odd Odd... I should add both to my Odd Dreams page.

well ta ta for now.

Oh to blog with a cat's butt in your face. I know. It's everyone's dream. Only Euphrates again. I'll have a picutre of her up soon. I'm scanning pics as we speak. Well, I forgot to tell you all about Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, Peter, and Schnookums. You heard me. Schnookums. That other rabbit that no one heard about 'cause she was too busy backpacking through Europe during that whole McGreggor's Garden incident. I should get photos up to help explain. See it all started Monday morning when we were enjoying beachy goodness, and Elisa (the hyperactive one) was reading while the rest of us were in the ocean. Something was wrong with that picture. So I went out of the ocean and dropped off some rocks I had collected, and said, "hey Schnookums, why aren't you in the water?" or someother such thing like that. The point was that she was dubbed Schnookums.

Later, while we were getting film developed at Wal*Mart and killing time for that hour, I wanted to get a new adorable hat. I'm all about adorableness. Regardless, I got a blue hat and Sue got a straw-colored one, and they were very floppy. So I tied the front end of mine up with a piece of embroidery floss that matched the hat. And Sue called hers the Flopsy hat so of course mine became the Mopsy hat and Amanda became Cottontail and Tino was Peter 'cause he was the only boy, and Elisa was already Schnookums. So that is the sorry tale of Flopsy, Mops, Cottontail, Peter, and Schnookums.

I'll probably remember some other tidbit about vacationey goodness later and blog about it. But that's that story out of the way. Have a happy evening while I scan.

All right. Now starts the epic blog. Where did I last leave us? Oh, "Blue Grandma's" house in RI. Ok, so we traipsed to our beach house, and got there early so we drove around Naraganset for a bit and then went back to the house, and then got lost looking for the rental office, but we finally found the place and got in. So we went got food and stuff and when we got back, Elisa and Amanda were there waiting in the driveway. They couldn't get in as we had the keys. So we got all settled, and neither Amanda nor I (the persons with cars there) wanted to drive anywhere for a long time. Yeah, she drove up from NC, and I had been driving since the 4th. Ok, so now it was afternoon/evening, and we walked down to the beach and blah blah blah blah.

To make a long story short... Elisa was buried in the sand. Sue's little brother Roo was buried in the sand when he brought Sue's car to her so Sue could now drive us everywhere. We took photos of hot lifeguards sans shirts. I got a toe ring. I got color without burning. We went to Newport, RI where all the rich people live and did this thing called the "Cliff Walk" which was supposed to be 3 1/2 miles. Well it seemed like much longer, and 2 miles of it was not paved or anything. I got a blister. But I did get 2 rolls of film of the nice pretty houses that I suppose I could lower myself to reside in. Umm... what else happened on my vacation? We saw lots of movies. MIIB, which wasn't as good as the first one, but still was quite good. We also saw Lilo & Stitch, which was beyond adorable. Yeah, it was Disney without being overbearingly Disney. Oh what else? Saw Ocean's 11, and Legally Blonde (again) and Girl Interrupted (again) and 10 Things I Hate About You (twice--once on TV and once on Video after I invested in it).

There was this Irish family in the house sharing a backyard with us, and they had a 15 year old girl who played the bagpipes. So she's not going to win any awards at the moment, but still, it was tres cool. Well, for a Celtic nut like myself. So we talked to them for a bit, and then when we divied up the food on Saturday when we were leaving, we gave them our eggs. Because they rocked.

We played bocce. Didn't play badmitton, which we could have. We played in the surf. Let me tell you the water was COLD! yes, it was COLD. Very very COLD. Hence most of the time I sat on the beach and read the Stand. No, I'm not done with it yet, but I'm probably 3/4 of the way done now. Oh, and Amanda brought up this umbrella her mom bought on a street corner in Italy. Milan I think. Anyway, it's a palm tree. And it rocks hard. It was the greatest thing on the beach. We did have the best umbrella. Lots of people around us thought so.

Umm... I painted my toenails red. and my fingernails, but that peeled off. I sat on the beach some more. I finally got to watch Buffy, so now can understand some of the obsessions that go on concerning the show. I have plenty of material to open up my acryllic paints on and go wild. I got a adorable-ass hat at Wal Mart. And I drove home.

Oh, we made smores too.

Yep. That was my vacation. But it was a week of happily doing nothing.

Oh, more things: played mini golf--I came in second. Went to batting cages--I did ok. We had dinner on Wednesday at "Blue Grandma's" house. I kicked ass at Trivial Persuit. And I've got tons of pictures to scan, which I will scan sometime. K?

Well, so much for my epicness.

Back in the land of the 'puterful

Hey! I'm on vacation now, at my friend Sue's grandmother's house. Sue's grandma is cool and in the internet age. So I've made it to Connecticut and we watched fireworks and stuff a couple of nights in a row. I did a good impression of the Cingular guy in Sue's parent's pool. Now we're in Rhode Island on our way to the beach, so see you all in a week! I'll be sure to post pictures. I did have a wierd dream when Tino was making mini-mouses using asprine and circular pieces of bread, and he was cooking them in a frying pan in a terra cotta pot on the stove, and Sue and I were discussing ante-bellum South. Yeah, we're nerds. Nerds and proud. Oh well, I must go and not monopolize the 'puter while I'm here. *waves from RI*

Ok, a little PS. Where I got that South Park person. Well, I made it at a site, only I forgot where I made it. But don't you worry your pretty little head! because Kelly and Susie have links under their South Park people. *nods vigorously* Go see them. Oh, and visit Shann who has an adorable new layout with a drawing made by her adorable hubby. If you see the pics you'll know what I mean! Unfortunately, he's taken. But he's taken by Shann so it's all good.

And before I forget. Tiff also has a new layout. But Tiff doesn't have an adorable hubby yet to draw her adorable pictures to make layouts of. But we're holding out that one day, James Marsters will walk on through town and fall madly in love with Tiff at first site. *nods vigorously again*

Ho Ho Ho. I just felt like saying that. I don't know why. I'm not in a particularly "happy" mood or even in a "ho-ish" mood. I just felt like I needed a greeting, so there you are. Anyway, I hate that stupid one hour photo shops are only open until 6:30, so you can't get your film developed when you finish your softball game. *grumbles at Wegmans* Yep, I'm still also plugging through The Stand It's a long book, but really interesting. Just don't read book one when you have a cold, 'cause you'll really start to freak out. ANYWAY. I made a South Park Me.

Aren't I cute? Ok, so not really, but anyway, that ho ho ho greeting got me thinking about the first time we got a shepherd's hook to hang plants from. I'm carrying it up an escalator out of the mall, and I look behind to my mom and say Look I'm Shepherding and she answers How do you know you're not hooking? So I ask her back Would you rather me be a shepherd or a hooker?. Mom admitted that I had a point. I've got a cool mom. That was several years ago too. And she's gotten even cooler with age. So that's my story of the moment. I hope you enjoy.
