Dragon's Musings
26 March 2003
Let's see. A couple of updates on how things are: I'm still sick, but that's to be expected as there are lots of sinuses in your head, and they can hold a lot of crap, and cause no end of ickiness.
Signs of Spring: When small rodents appear to gravitate to our doorstep and die. Yep, the cats are out hunting, bringing back presents for us. On a side note, for those of you out there who aren't keen on war-stuff, just remember when you hear Tigris and Euphrates they're not rivers in Iraq, they are a pair of adorable striped kitties. Euphrates has white feet. As far as I know (and I checked earlier) there is no destruction or blights or marks or mars on either Tigris or Euphrates.
Random Thoughts: All of us bloggers are really full of ourselves, aren't we? It's like we're standing on a street corner screaming out into the vast emptiness that is cyberspace saying, "Validate my existence!" We put up commenters and tag-boards in the hopes of getting responses to validate our views or to make us feel better about ourselves. It kind-of reminds me of posting your stories (original or fanfic) on the web. After all, we're just review-whores. Of course, the reviews that say "your story rocks" make us feel good, they don't really make us better writers. And the ones that take issue with your most darling of characters, you scream as a flames because everyone else must be cruel to think that of these characters/plotlines that are near and dear to you. I don't really know where I'm going on this thought, except that it's there. Feedback from cyberspace is a really cool thing (And I fully admit to bein in that 'full of ourselves' category. Hence the 'Our' ) but really what else is it for other than to have someone stamp in on your street-corner and give you a quickie? Ok, well mental thoughs have taken a random turn of events. I guess it's good that it's proclaimed as random from the beginning. Guess I'm just feeling rather cynical today.
And mind hops to a new topic: I'm a few steps closer to nailing down a firm closing date! Signed mortgage contract is to the bank and the lawyer. The bank is getting an employment verification from SU, and then we should be good to set a date. Well, except I still have to get homeowners insurance and stuff like that. It makes me excited. Cynical yet excited what an odd combination. *knocks on head for any other personalities wanting to take a spin at the keyboard*
Hm... they seem to be sleeping or preoccupied with their own little adventures in the universes in my head. Well I guess that's all for now. *pulls cheap review-whore tactic* I won't blog again until I get at LEAST 10 comments.
Yeah, that's a bunch of crock. I vomit out my own take on life around me even if no one's listening! HA!
