Dragon's Musings
29 April 2003
I've got so much to pack. So much so much so much. So what do I do? lay on my bed and blog. I bet you're saying "Hey! Liz! I't Tuesday, don't you have work, you silly little girl?" And to that my reply is "nope, not today. I have a shceduled day off for my closing."
Speaking of closing..
*insert choice swear words here to form an adjective phrase* old homeownders! Now I don't want to be thought a bitch. Ok, so maybe I do. But they're trying to stiff me with a whole bunch of shit in their house. Well not a WHOLE bunch, but bunches enough. Like a 20 + year old washer and paint with colors out of a bad TV-Recreated-Acid-Trip. I'm willing to wager money that these things were left when the current homeowner moved in, and he was too uneducated in his ways to make sure all the CRAP was gotten rid of. I'm no spring chicken. I've been through second-hand the horrors of selling a house and having to get crap out of the old house. That is why my poor old ugly yellow, but much beloved, out of tune piano had to die a miserable and terrible and horrible death because it had to be removed. *sniff* I miss that piano.
Anyways, so I'm not going to deal with their old shit that they're too lazy to get rid of. I point to the evidence of 2 cases of empty beer bottles left in the garage. Excuse me, I don't think that I will find a use for them. Bull-freaking-shit! Ok, so I'm ranting now. Oh well. I have another few hours to blow off steam before I get myself all dolled up and look professional for my appearance at closing. I don't know about you, but I want to be taken seriously when I'm buying a house. Though if there are any hang-ups then my lawyer should call me to let me know, and then I'd have wasted a dway off to pack.
I want my house!!!
I apologize for the outburst, and the excessive punctuation. I mean, these people are basically selling at a loss. They're not gettin any moeny out of this. It tells me that they priced their originally estimate of the house way too low. Then again, I'm thinking that these people aren't the savviest of customers. I mean, I love my agent and my lawyers. I know I'm probably paying more for my lawyer than they are, but I don't have a cheesy paralegal (sorry to all those paralegals out there) working for me. I have an actual lawyer. So yeah the firm I hired costs more, but they're good. I get the feeling that they're looking out for me (of course, I'm paying them to do that). Only like an hour and a half before I hop on down to my bank and get money for me and go to the middle of the city to find the other people's lawfirm.
I know, you're saying "But Liz! closing itsn't until 2pm. Your blog says 10:30!" Yes, but I might get lunch out and about as well. Plus I don't know how much time it will take at the bank, and I'd rather sit around at some fast-food sandwich joint than be late.
I despise being late.
Lateness is bad.
Very bad.
I need to get back packing.
[edit] PS: These People have been so patient in listening to me yammer about buying a house. [/edit]
