Dragon's Musings
28 July 2003
A post-wedding blog, now. Not a directly post Pirates blog, but I did see it for a third time last Tuesday. Before we go any further, Kathy tagged my tag-board. I'm not exactly sure how she found my page, but hi anyways, glad you like the layout. Ally also welcomed me back, so go visit her site too.
So, no, I'm not married, but my friend is. Thrice over even! There was a nice Protestant ceremony at noon, followed by lunch, followed by a Hindu ceremony at three thirty, and then the signing of the license for the state of New York. Happiness both the night before and at the reception. The night before we got the bride drunk on chocolate (mmm... chocolate) and at the reception we just had fun. Only problem was just as us whitey-white girls were getting the hang of dancing to Indian music (ie, from India), the DJ stopped playing Indian songs. :( But it was a fun time anyway. I got my thumb on the bouquet, but ceded it to the bridesmaid whom it was more directly in front of so as to avoid fisticuffs. Besides, she had a boyfriend and therefore was closer to actual marriage than me. :)
So we had toasting to the bride and groom, and a little imbibing. Drove home on Sunday. I'm certainly glad I had today off work so as to recover from the wedding. Good thing I had it off too because I slept in until 11am. In the meantime, I had another Orlando Bloom dream. I didn't think it was heading that way, but it did. It started off with me visiting my old high school. And as I was walking the halls, some janitor told me I couldn't be there. I told him I was an alumna of the school and that I could, and I was going to see my old band teacher. He was busy as I walked through the band room, so I proceeded towards the offices of the building. There was a meeting going on there on how to raise money for something. Since I work in that field, I kind-of invited myself to the meeting, and they were going to invite me to join the committee. Eventually, we retire towards the school library and Brad Pitt was just kinda standing there. I had not known this in my dream, but in my dream-reality, the movie Troy was being filmed on school grounds. So I'm there organizing papers from the meeting and music I apparently had left from 6 or 7 years ago, and in walks in Orlando Bloom, and we kind of make eye-contact. And he comes over and asks me if sitting in a corner reading is more fun than joining in on things. And I tell him I was just putting away music and papers, and I proceed to show him them. Then we go for a walk along the set, and end up in my old middle school. And I wake up.
Ah well. I need to dig out my dream-book and see what famous people mean. Teach me for watching The Fellowship of the Ring directly before bed. It does strange things to my mind.
Anyways, must start sewing garb.
