And a blood sacrifice was required...
All right, my holiday decorations have been consecrated. Yep, they're mine now. Blood was asked for, and blood was given. A lot of blood. From my right big toe, to be exact. Yes, I was hanging up these wonderful little lit globey-things when I stepped off my stool and onto something. Well, said something (a little cat sculputre) slit open my toe. At first I just thought it was like stubbing my toe, so I hung the last globe on the chain. And then I thought, "I wonder if I cut myself" and my sock was covered in blood. So I hobbled in a mad hopping dash to the kitchen for the paper towels, leaving reddish drips through my living room and dining room.

And then, what does any self-respecting young adult do?

I called my mommy.

Well, I called her because I thought I might have to go and get stitches. But it had stopped bleeding by the time I hobbled back to the living room to get the phone. So I didn't think I needed stitches. So I hobbled up the stairs to my bathroom where my hydrogen peroxide is. And I gave it a liberal dose of that. Bandaged it up with gauze and bandage tape.

Forgot the triple anti-biotic ointment.

So I had to un-bandage it, and re-bandage it. Thus, I comforted myself with a moviefest of Orlando. Pirates of the Caribbean and The Two Towers.

In other news, Keith is my new Favorite Person for bringing chocolate to Dance Practice on Tuesday. Kate and I rocked on Friday--even though we got blissfully lost on the way trying to find the place. We had fun. That we did. And I learned a new walk that I have to practice when I get a large enough open space... it's walking entirely on your knees--with grace and flare though. I love Bellydancing!

30 hours and 37 minutes....
