Hey ladies at Hump Buddy, I've updated the link. :) I even have an extra day! woo hoo! go me!

Let's see... Figgy is better, just thought you'd like to know. I'm exhausted, and not looking forward to tomorrow. You see... I have to go back to work after four days off. That means I have to hit the sack early because I can't get up at 10am like I have been! :) Um.. not much to report here. Four days of just doing... well... not much. I hacked back my wild rose bushes and I've sprayed Round-up on the nefarious weeds that seek to mar the perfection that will be my landscaping! Bad weeds. They must die.

Oh what else, what else? Reading Harry Potter. Not a kids story any more. That's all I'll say. Definately not a kid's story anymore.

Hm... bought snapdragons to put in my landscaping and a climbing rose to start up the other half of my garden arch. Other than that, I just enjoyed lazing about. Played softball on Thursday, got my team water. I have to put away dinner/lunch tomorrow which I should do soon before I crawl into bed. So that's about it... I know it's only 9pm, but night from here!

Going from one crisis to the next... Ok so you know how I didn't say it here, but my little Figaro had gotten into a catfight and he was hiding under my stairs, and the next day, he was kinda listless and wouldn't let me pet his back? You didn't? Well that happened. The day before my injurious softball game, so I guess that would make it the 18th. So while I was in Pittsburgh, I sent him and Mr. Orpheus to my mom & dad's house figuring there weren't nasty kitties living around them if the kittens managed to get out. Well they didn't manage to get out, and came home fine. So last night, Mr. Orpheus comes in and it looks like he has an actual bite marks on his hind leg. So I take his bite-wounds and Figaro's back-scab and I dose them with Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) because it's good at cleaning wounds, that's why. And I want to take care of my kitties.

Well Mr. Figaro comes in tonight and I pick him up so he won't go out when Mr. Orpheus comes in, and he's feeling mighty toasty for a kitten. But he was just outside, so I'm like 'eh' and I'm playing with him, and brush the scab on his back and puss oozes from it. (sorry, forgot to do the don't read around meals warning), and he whimpers and I don't blame him because, well yeah, I'm sure it hurts. So basically, his wound got a bit infected. But we drained it, so it's doing ok. Got a new dose of H2O2, and that stuff must feel good on him because he was whimpering while I'm holding him and cutting his hair and stuff, but get the H2O2 on him and he shut right up and was like "ooh, thanks!"

So I don't know about Mr. Orpheus and his bite wounds. *sigh*

On the plus side, Susie, my knee is feeling better after a couple days relaxation. I pitched 3 innings tonight (my normal run), and it's just a few little twisty moves that makes it twinge. Thank you Ally on the comment about the layout, and I know Susie that I need to change my splash. But I'm feeling lazy at the moment. Not to mention it's bedtime. So night all. Think happy thoughts for my two babies. *sniff*

In pain. In much pain. Knee hurts. :( I think the only reason why I can put weight on it is because I did yoga all fall/winter/spring, so though it's hurt, it's hurt in a better way than it could have been hurt, as when my foot slipped, I was like "ooh, yoga posture, OW!" But, I did pitch the next inning (read right away) before my regularly scheduled outage. However, this morning, when I woke up, I was in much pain, and when my knee is bent, it's ok. When it's straight, it's ok... it's those dang-nabbit transitions between straight and bent. Anyway, have a meeting at Hamilton College and Susie has a new layout.

Well, I've got a rhodendron for posterity in the ground. And another hosta. I will soon have a wisteria plant going up over my garden arch, but I have to plant it as well, and then train it up over. I found chives in my herb garden, and we think what we thought was dill is really anise. Mom says that I soon will be making bathtup ouzo like my great-grandmother did. I've got dusy millers to put in the ground underneath my maple tree along with impatiens. Eventually, I also need to plant another Rose of Sharon up on the front of my house--direct genetic lineage from another great-grandmother's garden. Which traveled from Jamestown to Celeron to West Windfield, to Calabash, NC to Baldwinsville and now to Syracuse and soon to Pittsburgh. I've got yellow, purple, and white johnny jump-ups to plant, which came with some tulips of an unknown color. And it's hot outside, so I'm taking a break.

Well, It's Saturday, and I've had a long and eventful week. Starting with a massive brown-out at 9:30pm on Tuesday (thank goodness for surge protectors) and a funny sound in my basement. Well it turns out a Raccoon got into the area power supply. There is one less raccoon in the area. :( And if it ever stops raining, I will, by Susie's suggestion, plant some flowers in my garden in memoriam. Well, first I'd need to go out and get the flowers. But that would imply me getting dressed and putting in contacts and such which I have not yet done today. Bad me.

Softball game on Tuesday night (before the Raccoon), we lost. :( I didn't pitch well in the first inning, but the second two I played, I did. And we almost staged a comeback. But it was a really good team. The Angry Kangaroos (aka the Team Formerly Known as When Good Teams Go Bad). They've always had a good team. And they're softball whole-lifers. They've got batting practice on Sundays and were on the field practicing at (at least) 3:30 until gametime at 5:15. Yeah.

Wednesday was relatively uneventful. I had dinner with my mom and got a new computer chair with wheels... WEEEEEE *as I spin around and roll about the room* and a scanner so I don't have to sneak into my parents' house to scan things. Scannerness is good. Esepcially since I don't have a digital camera, so any images I want to upload have to come from regular film and scanning. *sigh* You can see that in the lack of photos in the photos section. :)

Thursday, the game was rained out. And it's been raining ever since.

Friday, I visited Miss Vicky and got me a few things on sale. Yay for Miss Vicky!. Anyway, it's summer and everyone is going on hiatus, some more permanently than others. *sigh*

And Friday was ALSO Susie's birthday, so she needs birthday wishes. Preferably if they're delivered by and include Hot Men. I know that would make my birthday wishes so much better.

So that was it, I think. I know I'm forgetting a lot of things, but I'll remember them eventually. Or maybe not, but if I don't remember them, I won't care! woo hoo! Er... ok then, must go now: K-luv-you-buh-bye!

They Won! They Won!
The Babies Won! They won the Stanley Cup! For the 3rd time in 9 years (or so says Gary Beatman). 1995, 2000, 2003!

*bounces*

They won! they won!

And this would have been posted about 11:30 last night except blogger was down.

But they won!

Yaaaaaay!

And I didn't even need Shakespeare!

They won!

But it's not without it's bittersweet moments as seen in This article.

I need a thicker book
The complete works of Shakespeare might do it. Fortunately, I unpacked it today and it's abode is next to the DVD player/CD player combo. Easy access to the TV for Monday night.

Hey wow, the blueness is gone and there is 'buffness' for lack of a better word. And goodness! That's a sketch there in the upper left corner. Why, it must be a new layout! This one has the Susie Stamp of Approval. And don't go look at Lizzy's site because I didn't figure out how to get the blurry links from her. *looks innocent* And Ally needs a hug and Shann is on hiatus. Wowie! So that's about it from here.

Well, the book trick worked 'cause the babies won last night. At times they appeared to want to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, but they came through. *crossing fingers for game 6*

I suppose I owe a real blog as opposed ot my little lunchtime blog there. See, I had trouble actually seeing my blog on my webpage, and part of the troubleshooting was to see if it was some odd thing in Blogger. Anyways, a HUGE! shout out to Susie who left me a fun comment. And to Lizzy who left me a tag. Ally left me a tag as well. Those are the only taggers/commenters who left web addys. I don't want to shout out to e-mail addys, so *waves* to everyone who tagged.

My little plugs being over, I must say, that I got another little house warming gift that used to go tweet tweet from Orpheus. I think it takes a particular breed to own a cat that is let outdoors. The morbid part of you definately comes out.

In other news, I got my dvd player hooked up and I got my surround sound speakers hooked up. Nothing like using the pre-drilled holes in your floor to run them in the basement so you don't have to walk on any wires. YAY! But I couldn't get all the elements of my entertainment center to fit in my little stand. Well I could, but the wires wouldn't fit then. So I had to get another table to stand them on (in addition to the one they're standing on now) and while I was out and about, I got more DVDs, so I had a DVD-a-thon this weekend.

Erm... that's about it.

I'll keep you posted

Oh, and would everyone think positive thoughts for my azalea Jeni who has jumped from the ledge twice now. Silly Jeni, your in-laws can't be THAT bad!
