I am 25!
And for my 25th Birthday, Jen sent me this and Kate sent me this.
But I must get back to work. Just wanted to blog when I turned 25 exactly!

Billy Boyd & Big Boat Battles!
Saw Master & Commander last night. Kate really REALLY wanted to go, thus we went. Hence me killing time doing quizzes. It was a fun movie. Much eye-candy. Won't give away too much of the plot, but it was a fun romp through the high seas! Not only that, but there were some adorable child actors that I think big things will be coming from. I'm too lazy at the moment to go and get their profiles at IMDb. Anyway, the very interesting part in the movie-going experience came when the power went out half-way through the film. What's funny is that there is a doctor who is a naturalist, and they're at the Galapagos Islands, and he gets this pout when he doesn't get to go wandering about the isalnds and collect samples and whatnot, and he starts his pout and the movie screen goes blank. As in Fine, if I can't get my stroll on the islands, I'm just going to stop the WHOLE MOVIE!. I don't know exactly how long the power was out, but it was. Probably between 15 and 20 minutes, though maybe less. We were discussing if it was on December 16 - 17, there WOULD be a riot.
So Boat movie was good. Spent today doing some cleaning/winterizing stuff. Got plastic to put over the worst of the cold-air-leaking windows, and a nice shovel to shovel my stairs and the sidewalk. I put together a small table that will now serve as the other half of my coffe table. And then, because I had felt so productive, I made a chemise. It's probably more appropriate for a Ren-Faire than SCA events (though it will be useful come Pennsic), but I have a hand-made chemise now. I'm currently wearing it as it is so comfortable. Just simple white cotton, entirely made from a remnant. Remnants are GOOD. Generally, they're at least half-price and you can make bits and pieces from them, so they are GOOD. This remnant was enough to make a short chemise. Now I have to take some of the fabric that I have washed in my basement and turn it into harem pants.
Not to mention evil plotting to do for an event in December. Anyways, I've got 2 extra cats for the week and Orpheus and Figaro are playing with a baby mouse (outside) and I'm very tired. I know, 9:30 and I'm tired, but that's what you get when you go out for a movie and there's a power-outage halfway through and the roads are icy so you have to drive slowly, then are woken up early because your parents are going out of town, but they need to pick up laundry and say one last goodbye to their kittens and then you haul up windows from the basement and make them fit in the windows where they're supposed to fit, go out shopping, get things, put things together, and sew, all under 12 hours...
Yeah, I feel like relaxing a bit... even though I have yet more rearranging to do. *sigh*

Quizzes!
While waiting to go see Master and Commander (Big Boat Battles by Billy Boyd!), I'm taking quizzes!
Selkie. You are a fun loving, ocean going type of
person. The waves draw you in with their
hypnotic rythme, and you just can't resist the
siren's lul of the ocean. You are disapointed
in humans, and even your fae cousins for not
appreciating the ocean and all of it's wonders.
If only they could see there is more than what
meets the eye, that dreams live under the sea
as well...then maybe they would not scoff.....
What Type of Changeling Are You? (Now Including Pictures for Each Kith)
brought to you by Quizilla
Congratulations, you're an Iele, a blood-sucking cat who hunts humans.
What kind of female faerie are you?
Take the female faerie quizby Paradox.

Poor Lyev...
Firstly, I have to mention that Jen has a fantabulous new layout up, and has had it up for a couple of days now, and I forgot to mention it, so my bad!
So onto the title... Poor Lyev. He can't stay at the top of my favorite person in the world list very long. Plus that, he keeps loosing out to people who give me chocolate. Oeric was passing out 100 grand bars at A&S last night. Okay, so they had melted and re-solidified so they weren't 100% pretty looking, but they were chocolate. And well, he does have a point that he should be a favorite person in the world. Because, well, he's my Evil Overlord's Evil Overlord (aka, my grand-boss, making me a sub-minion)... Therefore, due to Evil Overlordness and chocolate, Oeric is my new Favorite Person in the World!
I should start a page that is just a listing of who is my current Most Favorite Person in the world. Yes, they can be there more than once... and it could be dated. Hm... that's a thought. Now where to put it? *ponders*
Yes, I know that I now know

If you're between 15 and 24...
Dunno if I blogged about this sometime earlier, but if you're between 15 and 24 (a category I just BARELY fit into... In fact in 19 days, I won't anymore, you should take this Survey. No, it's not a fun quiz that will give you a clever answer, but it will make your voice heard... at least a little.
I had a busy night last night. No, not in any perverted ways like that. Just that I got a lot of sewing done. And I really need to remember to bring a camera that I can get pictures of me in garb because me in garb is fun. But I got a dancing bodicey-top thing finished for mid-east dancing. I took in some of my hems in my newer Italian Ren dress. I still need to fix the bottom hem and perhaps some of the back/side seams. I altered a T-tunic to make a more mid-east looking coat/jacket thingie. I still need to slit up the sides to show the sides of my happy harem pants and perhaps move one of the frog closures. So much stuff to do. And a bodice to make, and things to do and trim to add, and more harem pants to make and *sigh* so much stuff to do, so little time!
Iin other news, The Grimalkin has another chapter up which will make Lizzy happy. Tiff has an amusing article linked on her blog. Jen has been having a bad day, and Ally needs a back-rub by an attractive man. She also has a foxy new layout. And I was the first person to comment on Susie's latest blog entry. Go me!

Another New Favorite Person
As you are probably beginning to realize, my "Favorite Person in the World" is quite mutable. Sometimes it changes multiple times in one day. Right now, it's about a tie. I have to say that Lyev did indeed crawl back up my Favorite Person in the World ladder when he was teaching dance at the Ęcademy last weekend. In fact, he was teaching two classes, and is amenable to my evil plot. Shh... it's a secret. Anyways, during the first dance class, he brought bon-bons to simulate a flower dance. So 5 people got bon-bons and dance around, and at the end of the verse they hand over the treats, and then the 5 new people dance around, getting a partner and giving away the bon-bons.
ANYWAY, so at the very end of the dance, I don't have a bon-bon, which is okay, but then a guy in a kilt who knew Alexander the Pirate gave me his bon-bon, and thus deposed Cute-Guy-In-A-Kilt-Who-Taught-Dance-And-Wore-A-Wolf-Mask as my favorite person in the world. Because, well, the bon-bons had peanut-butter filling and other yummy stuff. mmmm... Anyway, so Guy In Kilt #2 is one of my "Most Favorite Person in the World" and I have to admit that Lyev is too. He taught bouncy dances, and is going to make a Delfwood Branchle so it will be very very fun.
In other news, The Grimalkin now has Chapter 19 available for reading as Lizzy very well knows. And Jen, yes, look, I updated. NYAH!

New Favorite Person in the World!
Yes, Aiden (who bumped Lyev off the "My Favorite Person in the World" by bringing peanut butter M&M's to movie night) has been displaced by "The Cute Guy in the Kilt Who Taught Dance and Wore a Wolf Mask" at the Celtic New Year event in Sunderoak. No, I don't have his name, but he is currently my favorite person in the world because, well, he wore a kilt and daught renaissance dancing. Need there be any other reason?
Needless to say, the event was good.
In other news, I finally got the Loreena McKennitt CD that I had ordered a while back because it had one song to dance to. I'm listening to it now and getting some inspiration hence, the shortness of the blog.
Well, before I go Jen has finally blogged again! She is back from the dead (at least partially). Thanks to Lizzy and to Ally who commented.
