Shann amuses me
Shann just left quite possibly the most amusing tag on my tag board. Well, it amused me and cheered me greatly. Not that I've been in a bad mood. I've been in happy zen-like place where things that would have reduced me to tears a few years ago are like are just accepted and moved on.

I think that you can love someoene, be it a spouse, partner, lover, friend, or family member, and not love everything about them. In fact, you can hate quite a few personality traits and still care for the person. It doesn't mean that you have to sit down like a doormat and roll over every time they say you have to do something. That's not love, that's being a doormat. You can bitch and moan, complain, snark, rant and otherwise vent about those you love but that doesn't degrade what you feel for them. That doesn't take away from the carinig that you feel. It's part of the caring.

There are many many things you can't change about people, nor should you try to change and mold other people to fit to your ideal. You should accept that you can't change things about people. And yes, some of their traits that you can't change will frustrate you at points, and perhaps it's healthier to vent to someone else who understands and who can just hear a rant and let you go AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGG! so you don't have to add people's burdens.

There's a fine line between seeing and feeling someone in pain and wanting to help, but knowing there really is nothing that can be done to help. There's a fine line between hinting and outright asking. There's a fine line beetween asking and begging, and along the way some things get confused or lost. Caution on one part is mistaken for outright refusal. Not moving at a breakneck speed is mistaken for unwillingness. But even then, it doesn't diminish any caring or love you have for someone.

My shoulder hurts.

I have to get cleaned up and started on garb for myself for pennsic, so I actually have something to wear at war! Gah. At least I have the EO's garb done. I'd describe it here, but it's a secret as what it's for, and he might read it, so I can't post! shhhh... In a month and a few days, I can!

Today is a day for the Cheerios shirt (thank you Aunt Jackie and Uncle Steve)!

May Jen still be going good in her recovery!
