*points to content update!*
Not that it's major content, but hey! I added a new Dream that I had on the 22nd of April, and a couple new filked songs in the Fun Stuff area.
PS.. thanks to Lizzy and to Kate for the comments on the layout!

A few amusing things:
Well... what is new. My Tuesdays might be filling up soon. Well, first there's softball, but also choir is a possibility. At least choir on some Tuesdays. Yay! I get to sing! This now leaves friday as my only non-totally-scheduled day of the week! eep! Well, I was told that my new hobby could quickly take over my life. It's true, but at least I have several hobbies within the bigger one! :)
Something amusing:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
"For he coveted Arda and all that was in it, desiring the kingship of Manwë and dominion over the realms of his peers."
--The Silmarillion Second Edition. J.R.R. Tolkien
And then the variation I saw on a friend's live journal
1. Go into your blog's archives.
2. Find your 23rd post (or closest to).
3. Find the fifth sentence (or closest to).
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions.
"Really."

Beanie's Dragons Paint Scrolls
So it's about time I got another layout up. I've been working on this one for a couple of weeks but it couldn't go up until Archery Champions was over because the artwork you see here was featured on a scroll. Anyway congrats to Giles de Blair who became the new Delftwood Archery Champion! Onto the details:
Version: Scroll is version 16 (I think) of Beanie's Dragons.Com. It is again inspired by the SCA, only this time by a scroll I painted. The orginal which I based my scroll from can be found here. Regardless, it was my painting (acrylics) scanned into my computer, coded in notepad by myself and uploaded for your enjoyment. As always, property of me. :)

Odd Dream
I think, but I'm not sure, it was a dream within a dream. Right now, I can't remember the details of when things happened. The two dream images are floating around in my head. It either happened that one happened and I woke up into another dream OR the second dream happened after I woke up from the first.
The dream within a dream is getting more vague in my head right now. There was something international that was going on, a meeting of some sort, but I'm not sure what it was right now. There were short films involved. Kate and I and some other people were in one of the short films. I remember some people coming to search/count heads for all the people in all the films and I opened the door and there was this gorgeous gown that had this huge train on it. It was very cool... a muted pink with beads and elaborate embroidery and all that stuff. It looked like it weighted a ton on it's own. So I closed the door when the troops/head-checkers were coming by, and when I opened it to show Kate, the gown was gone. I think for some reason there was a guy in it--which I didn't see, just intuitively know by the dream. It made Kate and I just start giggling uncontrollably.
We were marched someplace else and the dream gets vague again. I remember getting set up in some seats, I think maybe to watch the movies? Not sure. We had assigned seats and there were some people missing.
The next thing I remember, I'm driving to a friend's house who has a new baby. I miss her driveway, then turn around, but it's very very hilly so it's hard in Angus, but I eventually get parked and knock on the door where I see the baby all sitting and laughing and happy. This grandmotherly type comes in to answer the door. And I'm let it, and I play with the baby a little bit.
Then I THINK I wake up here into my other dream. I'm house-sitting at my old neighbor's old house. It's early while I'm walking around, but I have to go to the bathroom, and I realize that I've never used the bathroom in their house while I've been house-sitting. I've always gone to my own house (across the street) to use my own bathroom/shower. I open the door and their oldest son is there, followed by an immediate slam for modesty. So I'm continuing to walk around. For some reason, I have bells on, because at a later point in time they ring and I know it's me. But all of a suddent, the house that I'm supposed to be in alone is filled with people--the old inhabitants. We're talking about this and that, and all of a sudden, I realize that it's almost eleven and I've missed the morning of work! So I go to call in sick, but I'm distracted, because somehow, Orpheus has gotten on the roof. He actually jumped up onto the roof of the first story that could be seen from the second story. I didn't know how he got up there or how he could get down, but I think he did.
I was then offered breakfast (cold Pizza) and all of a sudden, when we finish eating, and I go to call, it's already 5:45 or so, so I've totally missed work!
And then I wake up for real and I'm utterly confused as to which day it is. I think it's Thursday (today) but I'm not sure-enough to know, so I have to sit in bed and listen for confirmation that it is indeed Thursday. OY!
other news
Did not fence last night. I had been sneezing too much at work and felt so totally blah. I thought a pointy thing and sneezing, especially in the mask, would be a bad bad thing. But I don't think there was loaner-gear for me anyway, so it was all good.
Had Kate's nummy cake. It was nummy. Walked around in my fun red shoes. Woo hoo! Discovered I share a shoe-size with Mona and had a big feet conversation with her, since WfW wears the same size shoe as my dad. Of course, growing up with a dad and a brother with big feet, any male that's even size 11 has itty little baby feet! So it was a good fight practice anyway.
Started on stitching a home-made knotwork around the unicorn that I'm not going to finish on my canvas bag. Eventually, I'll get the whole thing filled. :) Won't that be cool.
Angel
Very sad that there's only 4 left. *sniff* Well, the episode certainly tied up things from season 3. I had read a synopsis (a very complete synopsis) of the show, and didn't think that I would like it. But I was impressed. There was some really good writing. Not to mention the line: "I want Spike as my pet." Bwa ha ha ha ha! wouldn't we all Illyria!
I really liked the end where it was ambiguous if Connor had gotten his memory back or not, or if there were new memories forged at the time, or if choosing between the two, he'd rather choose the well-adjusted life.
Anyway, that's all. :)

Hm... Hm... Weekend.
Friday Night
Went to see "Home on the Range" with Kate and Ginger. Warning, this is classic Disney camp. However, it was much much fun considering that Ginger was Maggie, Kate was Mrs. C, I was Grace (the three cows), and there were assorted other attributes we could match nearly spot-on to people that we knew personally. Hoo boy it was fun, I was weeping from laughing so hard.
Anyway, can I just say: Stupid Freaking Michael Eisner for making this the last classically animated (aka by hand) feature film from Disney. Michael Eisner, you suck and I hate you. Take a look from your recent returns on movies. People don't buy into 'gimmicks' they buy into good stories, start telling them again, and things will perk up.
So after that, we went and got food and beverage at Wegmans, so that I wouldn't turn into the dehydrated cranky bitch at Coronation. Crawled into bed after midnight, though I didn't really get to sleep until 1 am.
Saturday
Six o'clock in the morning.
Well, it's my own stupid fault. But I wanted to see a coronation, and it said that court started at 10, so considering how long it takes to get into garb, etc, I wanted to be there by 9:30, which meant leaving at 6:30 in the morning, which meant waking up at 6.
Well, I overestimated time once again. Plus, we left probably around 6:15. Kate was asleep from the time we backed out of her driveway to the thruway toll-booth in Buffalo. I didn't mind. I had my music on. And the sun came out in Batavia.
Coronation was fun. I had the basket o' plenty, which had pop-tarts, peanuts, cranberry juice, bananas, Cate's cranberry-raspberry juice, and her trail mix. So it served to keep us fed and hydrated. It was a good thing that Cate and I were there, though since Oeric's herald got there late. :( So we got roped into being part of his entourage. Minions are a good thing. :) Cate got to use her 'nervous voice' which equaled 'loud, enunciated, and well-paced.' I got to hold up the Delftwood banner. :) Oeric swore fealty, we got to go sit down.
There were merchants there. I was being good and was going to hold out and not buy anything. Until...
Yes, I now have a leather circlet that has two cats facing each other embossed in it! Weeeeeeeeeee! They're either faded Figaros or Anit-Orpheii. Either way, I love it and it's mine! Mine! Mine! mine! mine! mine! mine! mine!
mine!
After the second court, Cate and I left. We got back on the road, and stopped in Rochester for dinner. We ended up in a mall just off the thruway/490 way out in Victor. Eastview Mall. See, Rochester Education has other benefits! We managed to blindly miss a Friendley's restaurant, and had dinner at Jack Astors. I love Jack Astors. You can draw on the tables, and draw we did. :)
Fed Angus as well, and we got along home. Kate had left some food in my basket o' plenty and I was going to bring it to her today, but then I saw some medicine, so I turned around and brought it back to her.
Sunday
Went Grocery Shopping. Ooh! "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" on pre-viewed sale! Woo Hoo! Bought it.
Stopped at Media Play to spend my gift certificates. No "Wicked" (the book) poo. Bought "Hidalgo" soundtrack instead.
Stopped at Walden Books. Bought "Wicked" wee!
Got home, had lunch. Parents came over to unload more junk from my garage. Kim and Jack (ooh, fat puppy) wandered over as well. They got the tour. Orpheus and Figaro weren't happy that Jack got a tour. My brave little boys. They were all 'must chase dog from property!'
So it thunderstormed, and I gave Kim and Jack a ride back to their house since it was still raining.
Got back home and decided that being a slug was good. Started to read "Wicked." Stayed up too late doing so, but hey... it's a good book.
Timelessness
I think I want to rearrange my house. I'm dissatisfied. Then again, it could be the mas amounts of clutter. I'm just thinking I want my computer and my books in the same room, or at least combine things a little better. I want to paint my bedroom. I want to rearrange my living room. I want to paint my kitchen. Well, I want a whole new kitchen. I want a better use of space. I want a second set of speakers so I can put them on the 'b' set and listen to CD's in other rooms of the house. I need to make plans.

Remember your taxes!
1. It's a gorgeous day outside and is supposed to get better by the weekend!
2. I now have a new automatic water meter reading so no more stupid stupid estimates!
3. I don't even have to pay the stupid tax! And the very nice water department guy (who I think was Greek, which is just cool if you know me) is going to put the final reading on my meter in to the city for me (must call and verify tomorrow) and says that I'll get a credit!
4. I'm apparently a good natural fencer, and I'm doing awesome for this only being my second week. I think it's that instict that keeps me from wanting to get hit with anything. Then again, one has to consider where the opinion is going from.
5. I only missed an hour's work from the water meter thing!
6. During that hour, I was productive and fixed the little top to my light green dancy bits, so I've got that to wear tonight. I think I might do an alteration on one of my store-bought quasi-chemise-like shirts to wear under the light green dancy bits.
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
The sun is out today!
Sunshine makes me happy!
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Monday Came too Soon...
Of course, that could be due to the fact that I barely did anything on Sunday. But Saturday was a pretty full day, all things considered. Did Ukranian Egg art with Keith, Ed, and Jen all while Mark brewed. I made two pretty eggs and a not-so-pretty one. But when removing the wax, I rubbed too hard, and the not-so-pretty one broke. But I still have two pretty eggs. One's very cool and each side looks like a veiled woman. The other is cool with designs, and I'm not sure which side I like better. Such is life. *mental note, e-mail Jen*
See, after we finished and had dinner, we went to see Hell Boy, which was rather good. The ending was a bit anti-climatic, but hey. Anyway, got back to Jen and Mark's house, went in and grabbed my one bag, but forgot the grocery bag that had my eggs in it... and my leftovers (which would be icky by now) and my Ovation chocolate-mint sticks.
But they had plans for Sunday, whereas I just watched the first episodes of Season 2 of Angel on DVD all afternoon. :) I did get a load of laundry done so I've got clean, cat-hair-free yoga clothes for tonight after work.
And I got my water bill arranged. Apparently, I've been an idiot and reading the damn thing wrong. Well, not wrong. Just the stupid thing was facing the wall so I couldn't read all the numbers, so I was just giving the numbers that I could read. Unfortunately, they were along the lines of the last four digits, instead of the first four digits. So... well... my readings have been rather on the high side...
But then it was a problem because now that I can see all the numbers, I see that I've been reading the wrong numbers. To which, I fully admit to my own stupidity. But the numbers are smaller than the last reading that I called them in on... and *sigh* Yeah, it was one of those days.
So I've got them coming to install an automatic reader on my water line, which will be fun. And then a real meter guy can come in and read the meter and I'll get the account zeroed out or something.
But automatic readings are good.

Impromptu Sewing Party
Yeah, had one last night 'cause our normal meeting was cancelled 'cause it was Maundy Thursday and the church where we meet at had services of course. Silly Christain holidays! :) So anyway, had an impromptu sewing party instead. Of course, for some reason I was havng a major concentration block. Worked on curtains for my mother, a shirt shirt for my mother for my dad's shirts (turned an old button-up shirt into a bag for his shirts for drycleaning). Started on DelftwoodWear™. I won't have it finished for coronation or anything. I'm going to wash and haul out MinionWear™ for that. But by Pennsic, DelftwoodWear™ should be finished and totally resplendant. I'm talking blue and white mayhem! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha!
Er... sorry.
But on a good note, movies were also watched. Kate and Leopold happiness. Which is a good thing so Kate can have happy mental images of Hugh Jackman saying her name, just like I've got Orlando from PotC. :)
