Kittens, Snow, and Songs
So, I couldn't sleep last night. I coulnd't find a happy temperature medium between having the last blanket on (too warm) and having it off (too cold). I think I'm going to need to do a change-up of blankets. However, because I did toss and turn, I got to wittness something that Figaro probably didn't want me to. You see, I went to roll over, and couldn't get to the pillow I wanted because Orpheus had set up camp there. I pondered dragging the pillow over to the other side of the bed so I could sleep on my side and went to pull the blankets, and saw Clorinda's little bright eyes looking at me. Now Clorinda is still tiny so I can disturb her without too much problem. I went to pull the blanket, but I saw that just beyond Clorinda slept Figaro--securely anchoring the blanket. Add to this the fact that Figaro and Clorinda were curled up together when they're the ones that often battle (play-like, but Figaro gets annoyed, because she's still young and kittenish, and he's older and not as into play as she is) and it was amusing to see them sleep all snuggly.
Eventually, they all got off my bed so I could get to the side I wanted. Unfortunately, I only had it for a few minutes before Orpheus returned, sat on the unused side of the pillow I was sleeping on and proceeded to flop down, and expand (in the way only cats can) and shove me off to the other pillow. *sigh*
Of course, there was another two inches of snow on the ground this morning, which meant I had to shovel to get my car out. Fortunately the annoying neighbor who (despite having a driveway) parks right across from my driveway (regardless the legal side of the street to park on) moved his car by the time I had to leave for work. Otherwise, there is no way for me to get out of my driveway. The road is too narrow, and my driveway's too narrow--especially with the snow--for me to get my car turned savely onto the road without hitting his car. It is very VERY annoying.
I had a tune for my new song last night, but I lost it by this morning and I'm trying to recreate it. I have bits of it I think, but it wants to blend into my Song for Sixpence, which is annoying because the tunes were different... The meter is similar, but they're different songs dangit!
